Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Communications Intern to support the strategy and execution of internal and external communications related to a business integration initiative. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in change communication, employee engagement, and stakeholder alignment during a dynamic period of organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and implementation of integration-related communication plans, campaigns, and deliverables.
  • Draft and edit internal communication materials such as emails, FAQs, intranet posts, presentations, and talking points.
  • Support leadership communications to ensure consistent messaging across teams and business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, IT, Operations, etc.) to gather content and coordinate communication rollouts.
  • Monitor communication effectiveness and engagement through surveys, analytics, and feedback tools.
  • Help maintain project communication timelines, trackers, and editorial calendars.
  • Contribute to creative content development including infographics, videos, or other visuals as needed.
  • Participate in integration team meetings, contribute ideas, and take initiative to improve communication touchpoints.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Familiarity with communication tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or email platforms like Outlook or Mailchimp).
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Interest in corporate communications, change management, or business transformation is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • We are located in Jeffersonville, IN. You must be willing to work in this location; PharmaCord does reimburse for tolls if applicable, at the frequent user rate. This rate is applied after 40 trips per month (valued at $678.60 per year)

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • This is a full-time exempt position.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
