Pastry Cook - Join Our Creative Team!
Do you love baking delicious pastries, thrive in a vibrant environment, and dream of working alongside a talented team that encourages creativity? Scratchboard Kitchen is looking for a passionate Pastry Cook to craft our beloved pop tarts, biscuits, muffins, cookies, and more!
At Scratchboard Kitchen, you'll work with fresh ingredients, detailed recipes, and collaborate with our Executive Chef and Sous Chefs to create baked goods our guests rave about. Bring your ideas, enthusiasm, and positive energy to a supportive environment where you'll grow, learn, and contribute directly to our success.
Essential Responsibilities:
Follow prep lists and detailed instructions from our Executive Chef or Sous Chefs.
Expertly prepare our signature pastries: pop tarts, biscuits, muffins, cookies, and more.
Adhere to recipes and uphold our high-quality standards consistently.
Keep your station organized, clean, and compliant with all health and safety requirements.
Embrace constructive feedback as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Share your creative pastry ideas and contribute to menu development.
Bring a positive attitude and enthusiasm every day!
Requirements:
Excellent communication skills
Basic pastry and culinary knowledge
An eagerness to improve every day
Proactive, motivated, and excited to collaborate
Team-focused mindset
Creative and inspired thinking is a huge plus!
Compensation:
Hourly: $18 - $21/hour, based on experience
Benefits: Health insurance, optional vision & dental insurance, daily family meal, dining discounts
Physical Demands:
This role includes seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequent lifting (up to 25 pounds), occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), standing for 4-8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts. These requirements may be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
